Predefined patterns are often not necessary and should only be used in certain applications. A pattern should be predefined if a stitch needs to be made at the intersection point of two or more quilt lines.

Be aware that the operator will not be able to adjust stitches-per-inch, quantity-of-backtacks, or backtack-length values for a predefined pattern.

Continuous Sew Method

  • Attempts to make the entire sew path with as few trims as possible (some trims may be required to complete the pattern).
  • Attempts to make the entire sew path with as few stitch-overlaps as possible (some overlaps may be required to complete the pattern).
  • Is the fastest stitch-out option.

Tack and Jump Method

  • Attempts to make the entire sew path without any stitch-overlaps.
  • Will require trims.
  • Will be the slowest stitch-out option.
